    How I Approach Therapy

My approach to treatment is collaborative, empowering, and evidence-based, sprinkled with an appropriate use of humor and levity. I am down-to-earth, nonjudgmental, direct, intuitive, and playfully engaging.

Recognizing how difficult it can be to openly talk about sexual preferences, fantasies, and behaviors, I create a safe and supportive environment within which you are empowered to observe and work through difficult thoughts, painful feelings, and unhelpful patterns in your life. In addition, I ask important questions you may not think to ask yourself and offer a unique perspective that can fundamentally change how you approach problem solving. Through our work together, you’re supported in starting to think of yourself and your concerns in a different kind of way, where change might be much easier to achieve than you expected.

You’ll learn new methods for making healthy decisions, discover more helpful ways of thinking about yourself, and explore new ways of creating a more fulfilling life, both in and out of the bedroom (or wherever else you like to have sex).

    Where Therapy Happens

Appointments take place on a secure & HIPAA-compliant Video Telehealth platform called SimplePractice. You can easily access sessions from your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, giving you the flexibility to get proper support without disrupting your day.

    My Message to You

Since pursuing my dream of opening my private practice in 2018, I am grateful for the privilege of supporting you in doing your most meaningful work. While I am a Certified Sexual Wellness Therapist (CSWT), I continue to seek growth and clinical refinement under the mentorships of world-renowned sex therapists and authors, Drs. Marty Klein and Margaret Nichols. I love sharing my passion and expertise in the field of Sex Therapy with motivated individuals who want to be more curious and self-aware, pursue more pleasure, and enjoy better sex.

American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Orange County (APA-Accredited).

2014 – Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Orange County (APA-Accredited).

    2015 – Completion of Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Prior to certification as a Sexual Wellness Therapist, I became licensed as a Psychologist in 2015 (CA Lic. # PSY27892). For years, I proudly served as a Clinical Psychologist in several of Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital’s outpatient programs, where I treated individuals, groups, families, and couples. I worked as the sole Clinical Psychologist in the Dual Diagnosis program, Trauma program, and Veterans program.

I was later recruited to work at Sharp HealthCare’s McDonald Center, a residential chemical dependency treatment facility. Additionally, I had the privilege to serve as the Clinical Supervisor to masters-level and doctoral-level psychology trainees at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital and Sharp McDonald Center, as well as at New Vistas Crisis House in Downtown San Diego.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy my time playing beach volleyball, gardening, creating art, traveling to exotic tropical locations, sharing laughs and experiences with loved ones, and spending time with my dog, Bear. I also love exploring all the beautiful neighborhoods, beaches, and restaurants that San Diego offers.
