Therapeutic Approach
Therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative & empowering process of self-discovery and sustainable changes made over time. I partner with my patients to understand both their concerns and the underlying factors that contribute to them. From this comprehensive understanding, we'll review your options so you can make informed decisions about what changes you'd like to make.
My therapeutic style is down-to-earth, nonjudgmental, direct, intuitive, and playfully engaging. It is informed by over a decade of clinical experience and identification with many of the communities I treat. I also continue to hone my craft through ongoing professional trainings and mentorship from some of the world’s leading sex therapists and authors on sex and sexuality.
What Happens in Therapy
You are welcomed into a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship within which you are invited to observe and then work through difficult thoughts, uncomfortable feelings, and unhelpful patterns in your life. I’ll ask important questions that you probably haven't considered. I'll also introduce you to new perspectives that can fundamentally change how you approach problem solving and decision making, both in and out of the bedroom.
