    Therapy for All Relationships

Let’s Face It: Relationships Are Hard!

There are many reasons why we struggle in them. You may feel disconnected from your partner or find that your relationship is not to be as fulfilling as it once was. Maybe you’re preoccupied with fears of being rejected or abandoned. You might even feel hopeless that you’ll ever find “the one.” Often, unresolved hurts and traumas from our past affect how satisfied we feel in relationships.

In addition, dating in the age of Tinder and Grindr can leave people feeling frustrated, jaded, and confused. Unhelpful thoughts and painful feelings can surface. Sometimes we cope with those thoughts and feelings in ways that don’t ultimately fulfill us.

Help with Open Monogamy, Non-Monogamy, & Polyamory

In addition to working with those in monogamous relationships, I also help individuals and couples navigate the complexities and joys of non-monogamous, open, and polyamorous relationships. Clear goals, boundaries, trust, respect, consent, and communication are all vital and yet not sufficient aspects to success in these partnerships. Whether you are newly considering opening up your relationship or have been a part of the community for some time, I’d be happy to help support you doing so with everyone’s pleasure in mind.

Relationship therapy can help you better communicate with your partner and improve your satisfaction with your connection. It can bolster your self-awareness and confidence, helping you to choose relationships that are worth your time and value. It can also help you discontinue patterns that are draining and ultimately unfulfilling. If you’re looking to feel more connected to yourself and to your partner, call me today so we can discuss how therapy for relationships (monogamous or not) can help.
