Sex & Sexuality

sex & sexuality

Sex & sexuality can be so much fun. However, they can also be sources of pain. People come to therapy with a variety of concerns about sex and sexuality. For instance, you may find yourself having sex that feels unfulfilling, disconnected, or impulsive. Some people feel ashamed or guilty about their fantasies, preferences, or kinks, and others engage in unwanted sexual behaviors. Physical pain, discomfort, and performance concerns can impact your satisfaction with sex. You might just want to learn how to better enjoy your sex life! My practice is inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities, kinks, and behaviors between consenting adults.

My goal is to help unburden people from unnecessary guilt, shame, and pain related to sex & sexuality. The more we try to ignore or control a sexual fantasy or preference, the more power it has over us. Bringing our secrets to light and sharing them without judgment can be a wonderfully healing experience. This also gives you the opportunity to discuss how sex can be more fulfilling to you.

Additionally, I help my clients untangle their negative thoughts and feelings about sex. I work with clients to align their behaviors with their values so they can stop the cycle of shame and guilt from unfulfilling behaviors. If you have concerns about sex, or if you simply want to learn to better enjoy the sex you’re having, give me a call today so we can discuss your options.
